Kial & Company was founded in 2007 by two friends, Kim Shewalter and Alicia Wilcox Prokos. Prior to conceiving the Kial brand, Kim had been a lead designer and executive officer for several successful companies, among them Mast Industries and Cambridge Dry Goods, and Alicia had worked as a corporate executive in marketing, most recently for Office Depot in Boca Raton, FL.
